Composition and principle of PTC electric heater

Composition: PTC electric heater is mainly composed of PTC ceramic heating elements, aluminum tubes (or other heat dissipation materials), electrode plates, insulation layers, thermal conductive heat storage plates, etc. PTC ceramic heating element is the core component, and its resistance value increases with temperature, which makes PTC electric heaters have the function of automatic temperature limiting and temperature control.

Principle: When current passes through a PTC ceramic heating element, the element will generate heat and produce heat. As the temperature increases, the resistance value of PTC material gradually increases, resulting in a decrease in the current passing through the component, thereby limiting further increase in heating power. This automatic temperature limiting feature enables PTC electric heaters to maintain a relatively stable temperature during the heating process, avoiding safety hazards such as overheating and fire.
